Vinod Kumar, a Station House Officer, accused of molesting a 15-year-old girl, has been suspended in UP's Kanpur Dehat district, said a senior official on September 2. Reportedly, the officer molested her when she was called at the Rajpur Police station for questioning regarding a case that was filed by her relatives, accusing her of blackmail. Police have registered an FIR following the girl who tried to commit suicide.

Bhushan Kumar, the Head and Managing Direction of T-Series company have been booked for allegedly raping a 30-year-old woman. An FIR has been registered at DN Nagar Police Station, Andheri West. According to the woman, Kumar has been molesting her from September 2017 until last year. The FIR has been registered under Section 376, 420, and 506 of the Indian Penal Code.

The Hisar police of Haryana has arrested a man for allegedly raping his minor daughter for over seven years. The 17-year-old also accused her father for impregnating her several times and forcing for abortions. While he gave death threats to the children, he molested her another 11-year-old daughters as well. Actor-director Vijay Raaz was arrested on November 2 in Maharashtra's Gondia district against the charges of molesting a female colleague. The police said that the actor had allegedly molested a crew member during the shoot of his upcoming film 'Sherni'. However, The Mumbai Mirror reported that the actor has been granted bail after being taken to Ramnagar Police Station.
