Tirupati MP and YSR Congress leader Balli Durga Prasad Rao passed away due to COVID-19 in Chennai, on September 16. The 65-year-old MP was three time MLA and a former minister of Andhra Pradesh, before it was divided. Prime Minister Modi and Andhra Pradesh CM YSR Jaganmohan Reddy expressed their condolences over his death. Rao is the second Indian MP to die of COVID-19, after Congress MP Vasanthakumar.
