Six MLAs from Nitesh Kumar’s JD(U) have joined the BJP in Arunachal Pradesh. Earlier in November, three of them had been suspended for anti-party activities. While Bihar CM and JD(U) chief Nitish Kumar said the party’s alliance with the BJP is confined to the state only, JD(U) general secretary KC Tyagi termed it "against the spirit of coalition politics". With this, the JD(U)’s strength in the 60-member assembly has come down to one.
