''Jersey'', the Hindi remake of the 2019 Telugu blockbuster directed by Gowtham Tinnanuri is set to release on 31 December 2021. Meanwhile, Actor Shahid Kapoor shared the official poster on Instagram and wrote, ''Jersey releasing in theatres 31st December.'' The film is about the inspiring journey of a 30-year-old ''talented but failed cricketer'' who makes a comeback into the Indian team to fulfill his son's wish for a Jersey.

Swiggy, Zomato Flooded With Over 4,000 Orders/Minute On New Year Eve
The food delivery persons from Zomato and Swiggy struggled to cope with flooding orders on December 31 evening as the apps witnessed a record number of orders. While Zomato got 4,254 orders/minute, Swiggy received 5,500 orders/minute, doubling its new user base. Kerala Teacher Writes Letters To Over 250 Students For New Year
In an unique way of extending wishes, a school teacher in Kerala, Dileep PV, is sending postcards to his students to wish them on New Year. From early December, Dileep has sent over 250 postcards to his 'online' students. Written in Malayalam, the cards read, "Let's forget the pages of a written diary and welcome the New Year with a new hope". Dileep's headmaster said the novel initiative had garnered many hearts.

Mumbai: Restaurants Allowed To Deliver Food After 11 PM on Dec 31
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation on December 31 allowed the hotels and restaurants of Mumbai to remain open even after 11 PM. However, they can remain opened only till 1.30 AM and, above all, they can take orders only for home deliveries after 11 PM. Tamil Nadu Govt Bans Mass Gatherings Ahead Of New Year Celebrations
