Karnataka Govt Imposes Weekend Curfew Across State

In view of the rising COVID-19 cases, the Karnataka government imposed a weekend curfew across the state, starting from January 5, at 10 am for the next two weeks. It'll start at 10 pm on Friday night and will end at 6 am on Monday. Reportedly, the physical classes for students till class 9 will be closed in Bengaluru. Mall, theatres, and gyms can only operate at 50% capacity.

Delhi Govt Instructs Police To Take Strict Action Against Night Curfew Violators

Amid the rising cases of COVID-19 in the state, the Delhi government has instructed the police to take stringent action against violators of the restrictions imposed. The state has imposed a night curfew between 11pm and 5am. Also, new year parties and other celebrations are banned. Reportedly, police officials ard checking and questioning those who are seen on the road during the curfew hours.

Night Curfew Imposed In Delhi To Curb COVID-19 Spread

Delhi Government imposed a night curfew in the capital to curb the spread of COVID-19, starting from December 27. The curfew will be effective between 11 pm to 5 pm. The decision came after the positivity rate was recorded at 0.5% for two consecutive days. If the rate crosses 1%, the government can also impose a weekend curfew. The complete lockdown may take place if the rate breaches 5%.

Sai Baba Temple To Be Closed To Comply With Night Curfew Rule: Maharashtra

In Maharashtra's Shirdi, the Sai Baba temple authority said that the shrine will be closed during the night hours for the devotees to comply with the rule of night curfew. The curfew is effective from 9 pm to 6 pm from December 25. The regular Arti of the early morning and night will not be performed. The canteen and Ladoo sale will also not be available during curfew hours.

Karnataka Govt Plans To Impose Night Curfew To Curb Omicron Spread

In view of the rising number of COVID-19 Omciron variant cases, the Karnataka government is set to impose a night curfew for 10 days in the state, starting from December 28. The curfew will start from 10 pm and will end at 5 am. The decision came after CM Basavaraj Bommai chaired a high-level meeting with cabinet colleagues and other officials. Besides, the government banned all New Year parties.

Gujarat Imposes Night Curfew Amid Omicron-COVID-19 Situation: CMO

The Gujrat Government imposed night curfew, on December 24, amid the COVID-19 and Omicron situation. "Night curfew will be imposed  daily from 11 PM to 5 am in Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, Rajkot, Bhavnagar, Jamnagar, Gandhinagar, and Junagadh," said Chief Minister's Office. The curfew will begin from December 25, until December 31. Meanwhile, with seven new Omicron cases, the rally of the COVID-19's new variant has now increased to 30.

Uttarakhand Govt Likely To Impose Night Curfew Amid Omicron Scare

Uttarakhand government is likely to impose night curfew in the state to tackle the rising number of COVID-19 Omicron cases in the state. Reportedly, a high-level meeting was also conducted in this regard on the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary on December 23. Earlier, the state recorded its first case of the Omicron variant in Dehradun on December 22.

UP Govt Imposes Night Curfew Amid Rising Omicron Cases

The Uttar Pradesh government under the leadership of Yogi Adityanath announced a night curfew in the state amid the rising number of COVID-19 Omicron cases. The order will be effective from the day of Christmas, that is, December 25 till further orders. The night curfew will start at 11 pm and end at 5 am. Besides, a cap of 200 wedding guests has also been placed in the state.

Jammu Administration Set To Reimpose Night Curfew: COVID-19

The district administration of Jammu has decided to reimpose a night curfew due to an increase in COVID-19 positivity rate in the winter capital from November 17. The positivity rate has increased by 0.2% in the city. ''The district disaster management authority (DDMA) imposes night curfew from 10 PM to 6 AM,'' said Anshul Garg District Magistrate. He also warned people of strict action upon not following the rules.
