Grieving the demise of the deaths of 17 persons due to lightning and thunderstorms in Bihar, CM Nitish Kumar expressed his condolences. Furthermore, he announced an ex-gratia amount of Rs 4 lakh each to the families of the deceased. Reportedly, six people died in Bhagalpur, three in Vaishali, two in Khagaria, one in Katihar, one in Saharsa, one in Madhepura, two in Banka and one in Munger.

In Bihar's Nalanda, a bomb was hurled in the area where CM Nitish Kumar was conducting a public meeting, on April 12. Immediately after the incident, police officials rushed to the spot, to apprehend the attackers. One person has been arrested in connection with the bomb blast, reported ANI. Earlier on March 27, a man was arrested for trying to attack CM Nitish Kumar.

Bihar CM Nitish Kumar expressed condolence to the victims of Bhagalpur explosion, held on the night of March 3. A total of seven people lost lives and several were injured, after a massive explosion was reported near Yatimkahana in Kajvalichak region in Bhagalpur, Bihar.
