A Bangalore official recently visited the Clarence High School amid reports that the school authorities have been forcing the Bible on their students. Jerry George Mathew, the school principal, has insisted that it is a law-abiding and peace-loving school community. He acknowledged that the school policy has ignited a huge controversy. He shared that the school has consulted their advocates regarding this matter.

Taking a dig at the ongoing Hijab controversy, Nitish Kumar said it is not an issue in Bihar, and that religious sentiments are respected in the state. In a media briefing, Nitish quoted, "In Bihar schools, children wear almost the same type of dress. If someone puts something on the head, there is no need to comment on it.'' Notably, the statement came after the Hijab-saffron shawl controversy in Karnataka.

Few Sai Baba devotees have filed a complaint against the "removal" of his idol in South Delhi's Shahpur Jat temple. The devotees have said that their sentiments were hurt. While the temple committee claimed that they replaced the idol with that of Lord Ganesha, locals citing a viral video alleged that a man gave anti-faith remarks when the idol was removed.  Meanwhile, police said they were "inquiring into the matter".
