Odisha Assembly Sine Die Adjourned, 20 Days Ahead Of Schedule
Owing to the ruckus by the opposition MLAs, Odisha Assembly's winter session was adjourned for the indefinite time on December 10. The session was scheduled to end on December 31. Reportedly, the opposition demanded CM Naveen Patnaik's explanation on the Mamita Meher murder case, allegedly involving the Home Minister Dibyashankar Mishra. Meher's dead body, a school teacher, was found by the Odisha police in Kalahandi on October 8.

Odisha Assembly Speaker Surjya Narayan Patro on April 3 suspended three BJP MLAs for allegedly throwing shoes, microphones and papers at the Speaker's podium.
