To punish the parents for their children's ''bad behaviour'', the parliament of China is likely to pass the "Family Education Promotion Law" after the discussion this week. Reportedly, the bill makes the parents liable to teach children to ''love the party, nation, people, socialism''. Furthermore, it demands parents to develop the sense in Children to ''respect the elderly and care for the young'' and help them to learn exercise.

Parents Request Modi Govt To Evacuate His Son From Afghanistan Amid Crisis
Parents of a 28-year-old man have asked the Modi government to immediately evacuate their son and other Indians stuck in Afghanistan during this crisis. The man shared a video showing him and three others inside an apartment. "Sir, we are very worried," a voice in the video said while others trying to arrange help. "He is ok but one does not know what the Taliban will do", his father stated.

Calcutta HC Orders Defaulters To Immediately Pay School Fee
Expressing displeasure over school fee dues, the Calcutta HC directed the parents who ''deliberately not paying the dues'' to submit at least 50% fee within three weeks on August 6. Moreover, the court directed the educational institutions to send a notice to the defaulters within a week. On not paying the fees, the schools can take action against those. The court will again hear the matter on September 2.

Canadian Fertility Doctor Uses His Sperm To Impregnate Women, Suit Filed Against Him
Norman Barwin, a Canadian fertility doctor has been accused of using his own sperm to impregnate his patients through IVF treatment. A class of action suit has been issued against Barwin on July 28. Reportedly, he has agreed to a C$13.375m (80 crores) settlement with his victims. Over 1 Lakh Children Lost Their Parent During Covid-19: Report
A study conducted by The Lancet had shown that more than 1.19 lakh children in India have lost either their parent or custodial grandparent during Covid-19 after Mexico and Brazil. Globally, 15 lakh children had lost either one of their parents or grandparent, with 1.86 lakh children in India. Reportedly, there were five times more children who have lost their father over mother. 90,751 children have lost their fathers.

India: 63% Of Parents Notice Hike In School Fees Says Report
According to a survey, 63% of parents said that the schools their children attend hiked fees despite classes being held online amid the pandemic. The survey registered responses of over 26,000 parents across 303 Indian districts. The report revealed that 33% of parents saw a 20% hike in fees, 23% witnessed over 10-20% hike, while 7% saw a 0-10% hike, whereas 3% found a reduction. Besides, 22% found no fee hike.
