IMD Issues Rain Alert For Mumbai, Suburbs For Next 2 Days
The state weather department issued a rain alert in Mumbai for the next 24 hours. On October 6, the India Meteorological Department forecasted that Mumbai and its suburbs will see a partly cloudy sky. The weather agency said there is also a possibility of light rain or drizzle for the next two days until October 8. Moreover, the temperature is expected to hover between 26-32 degrees Celcius.

2 Revenue Officials Swept Away In Flood Hit Madhya Pradesh, Body Recovered
Amid the flood situation in Madhya Pradesh, around two revenue officials Narendra Singh Thakur (45) and patwari Mahendra Singh Rajak, from Sehore district got swept away in a flooded river. Although the incident happened on August 15, police recovered one of the bodies, 350 kilometres away from the river, on August 25, nine days later. Moreover, the IMD also issued a rain alert in Madhya Pradesh for the next three days.

IMD Issues Yellow Alert Till Next Four Days
In Kerala, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued an alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall. According to the IMD, the State will witness heavy rainfall for the next four days, starting from July 31. A yellow alert has been issued for Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Palakkad and Malappuram districts. Furthermore, a notification regarding restrictions on fishing has been issued on August 3.

IMD Predicts Heavy To Moderate Rainfall In North-Eastern States: Cyclone Jawad
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on December 5, predicted heavy rainfall in isolated regions of north-eastern states like Mizoram, Meghalaya and Tripura, on December 6. In addition, the IMD issued rain alert in West Bengal cities and coastal regions, as an effect of the recent Cyclone Jawad. The cyclone formed at Bay of Bengal has now weakened into a low depression, bringing moderate rainfall for the next 24 hours.
