Warner Ties With Rohit Sharma's Record: Won Most POTM Awards In IPL

Delhi Capitals opener David Warner equalled the record of Rohit Sharma for winning the most player of the match award 18th time in the history of IPL on May 5. David scored 92 off 58 balls against Sunrisers Hyderabad, hitted 12 Fours and three sixes in the 50th match of IPL 2022, at the Brabourne Stadium Mumbai. Now Warner is the third player of the match awards in IPL history.

Rohit Sharma To Lead Sri Lanka Test Series, Confirms BCCI

Rohit Sharma has been named as the Indian Test Captain for the upcoming Sri Lanka Test series. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) made an official announcement on February 19. The BCCI committee chairman Chetan Sharma, confirmed Rohit Sharma as the captain. Other members of Sri Lankan squad are Shreyas Iyer, Virat Kohli, Mayank Agarwal, Shubhman Gill, Hanuma Vihari, Rishab Pant, KS Bharath, R Jadeja and others.

BCCI Announces Indian Squad For 2022 West Indies Series: Cricket

The BCCI, on January 26, announced 18-member Indian squad for the upcoming West Indies series. The squad for ODI and T20I series will be led by Rohit Sharma as captain, who recently recovered from an injury and has now claimed to be fit. While Rohit Sharma will be the captain, KL Rahul will lead as Vice Captain, in the West Indies series, starting from February 6, till February 20.

KL Rahul Takes Charge As Captain For South Africa ODIs After Rohit's Injury

KL Rahul will lead the Indian team in the three-match ODI series in South-Africa, as Rohit Sharma failed to recover from the hamstring injury. Gavaskar Backs Rohit Sharma As Captain For Two T20 World Cups

Before any official announcement by BCCI for India's next T20 World Cup Captain, Veteran Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar opined that Rohit Sharma should replace Virat Kohli in the next two T20 World Cups. Notably, Kohli will discontinue the captaincy of the T20 Squad after the World Cup which will be held in UAE and Oman in October-November.
