BJP Dominates In 2022 Uttar Pradesh Election Race, Leads In 250 Seats
According to the Election Commission of India, Bhartiya Janata Party is leading on 250 seats in Uttar Pradesh. Furthermore, Samajwadi Party is leading on 111 seats, and Apan Dal with nine seats. Meanwhile, Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh's son Pankaj Singh is leading from the Noida constituency. The UP elections were held from February 10 to March 7 and results are all set to declare on March 10.

Ready To Form Alliance With SP To Oust BJP, Says AAP Leader Sanjay Singh
As the UP Assembly Elections entered its last leg, Sanjay Singh, Aam Admi Party leader said that if the AAP requires to keep the BJP out, they can form an alliance with the Samajwadi Party. "The AAP is also making its hold in Uttar Pradesh. People are voting in the name of development," Singh said. However, Singh also took a dig at CM Yogi Adityanath and other political leaders.

Akhilesh Yadav's Party Has Links With Ahmedabad Blast Convicts: Anurag Thakur
BJP leader Anurag Thakur, on February 19, alleged the Samajwadi President Akhilesh Yadav's links with 2008 Gujarat blast convicts. Addressing a meeting ahead of UP third phase elections, Thakur said, "One of the mastermind is Mohammed Saif, the son of Shahbaad Ahmed, who is a Samajwadi Party leader". The BJP leader even termed SP as Samajvirodhi party. Notably, the statements came when UP is conducting 2022 Assembly elections.

BJP Will Be Wiped Out In 2nd Phase, Says Akhilesh Yadav: UP Elections
While addressing a rally in UP on February 12, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav attacked Bharatiya Janata Party and called them the party of liars. "The voting percentage in the first phase has changed the direction of the wind against the BJP," said SP chief. He further added BJP will not get any votes in the second phase. Notably, the Uttar Pradesh second phase elections are scheduled for February 14.

West Bengal CM To Extend SP President Akhilesh Yadav In UP Assembly Polls
West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee announced to support Akhilesh Yadav and Samajwadi Party in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. On February 2, Banerjee said, "We have to chase BJP away". Aiming to expand TMC, party president also announced to contest UP Lok Sabha seats in 2024. Praveen Singh & Supriya Aron of Congress Join Samajwadi Party
Former MP from Congress party Parveen Singh and Congress leader Supriya Aron joined the Samajwadi Party on January 22. The leaders joined the SP in the presence of Party President Akhilesh Yadav in Lucknow.
