After the viral video of ABES student who was asked to leave the stage for chanting Jai Shree Ram, the professor defended herself, issuing an official statement. The professors Mamata Gautam and Shweta Sharma, who scolded the student, have been suspended. In this regard, SMamata said, "We have never had a problem with the Jai Shri Ram slogan, if anyone makes more comments, I will take action against them."

BJP leader Varun Gandhi on October 5 shared a video from his Twitter account and claimed it to be the video of Lakhimpur Kheri violence. He demanded action to be taken based on the video. The 25-second video shows an SUV running over the protesting farmers in UP. Notably, Congress leader Priyanka also tweeted the clip. Earlier, farmers' leaders had alleged the car belonged to Union Minister Ajay Kumar's son.

Taking a jibe, Delhi BJP leader Manoj Tiwari said that the "tukde-tukde gang" has been trying to turn the ongoing farmers' protest into Shaheen Bagh 2.0 and create "unrest" in the country. Moreover, Tiwari has claimed the protests to be well-planned since pro-Khalistan slogans and threats to PM were allegedly raised by protestors.
