ISRO Pens Deal With France For First Human Space 'Gaganyaan' Mission

Mini Truck-Sized Asteroid '2021 GW4' Close Past Earth On April 12

A small truck-sized asteroid named '2021 GW4' close past the Earth on April 12. Travelling at a speed of 30,104 Km/h, the space rock passed from a distance of 26,200 Km from Earth. Besides, being at an altitude of 35,786 Km, the rock was within the ring of the artificial satellites orbit. The asteroid was discovered on April 8 using the Arizona’s Mt Lemmon-based 'Catalina Sky Survey'.

Unknown Ancient Crater Lake Found On Mars With Evidence Of Waterbeds

A study led by US' Brown University researchers' have located an unknown ancient crater lake on Mars. The study, published in Planetary Science Journal, claimed that the mysterious crater may have remains of ancient stream beds and ponds. Considered to be a part of the lost Martian glacier, the lake is different from Gale and Jezero craters. Scientists are optimistic that this finding can connect dots between theory and observation.

ISRO's NSIL To Invest Rs 10,000 Crore In Next 5 Years; Make PSLV

ISRO's commercial arm Newspace India Limited is planning to invest Rs 10,000 crore in five years. Started in 2019, the NSIL earned Rs 300 crore revenue for the first year and aims to generate Rs 400 crore in 2020-21. Planning to raise the equity and debt mix amount, it looks to create PSLV to tap the global satellite launch demand including four international launches by 2023.
