Former UFC fighters Anthony Johnson and Yoel Romero are set to clash on their Bellator debut on April 16 at the Light Heavyweight Grand Prix 2021. Romero and Johnson's bout will be part of an eight-man tournament that would decide the Lightweight world champion when the Grand Prix ends in October. Reportedly, the fighters had signed a multi-fight deal with Bellator MMA after released from the UFC in December 2020.

Hyping up the "Notorious" Conor McGregor's return at UFC 257, BT Sport on January 13 released a video featuring McGregor in its "Shorts" series. Containing parts of the athlete's interviews, the animated video aims to give an insight into McGregor's mind ahead of his rematch against Dustin Poirier. Former three-time Bellator MMA champion Michael Chandler is set to debut at UFC 257 in the co-main event against sixth-ranked Dan Hooker. Yoel Romero Ends UFC Contract With 3 Official Fights Remaining
MMA veteran Yoel Romero has been released from the UFC after he ended his seven-year-long contract, confirmed his manager Malki Kawa on December 4. Kawa told ESPN that Romero still had three fights left in his contract and the reason for his exit had been kept untold. UFC 256: Tony Ferguson Finalized To Face Charles Oliveira In Las Vegas
Former interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson has finally secured a pay-per-view event as he will be facing Charles Oliveira at UFC 256 on December 12 in Las Vegas. Talking to ESPN's Brett Okamoto, UFC President Dana White said that Ferguson had been added to the final pay-per-view of 2020 after his wish to fight again this year. Ferguson, in his last match, suffered a loss against Justin Gaethje at UFC 249.
