Owaisi Expresses Disappointment Over Gyanvapi Masjid Verdict, Slams Court
Taking a dig at the "Gyanvapi Masjid" verdict, the AIMIM President Asauddin Owaisi said, the verdict is a violation of the Places of Worship Act 1991. On May 12, he said expressed disappointment in the Varanasi Court's judgment which allowed the survey of the masjid. Owaisi said, he lost one Babri Masjid and can't lose another masjid, urging the concerned authority to take the matter to the Supreme Court.

Bombay HC Refuses Permission To Terminate Pregnancy Of Teen Rape Survivor
The Bombay High Court reviewed a petition filed by the parents of a teenager rape survivor (16) seeking permission to terminate the 29-week pregnancy. On May 10, the HC refused to grant permission and ordered the Maharashtra Government to admit the girl to an NGO in Mumbai till her delivery, and asked to pay her interim compensation of Rs 50,000. Justices Revati Mohite Dere and Madhav Jamdar heard the plea.

Odisha Court Gives Life Imprisonment To Man In 2018 Murder Case
An Odisha court sentenced life imprisonment to Budhuram Bindhani, convicted in a murder case. As per PTI, the convict allegedly murdered Sachindra Mohanta (55) after a heated quarrel. The victim died during treatment at a government hospital. The incident happened on February 18, 2018, and the verdict was given on April 20, 2022. Judge Deepak Kumar announced the judgment based on the statements of 19 witnesses.

Special CBI Court To Announce Fodder Scam Case Verdict On Feb 15
A special CBI court will announce verdict in "Fodder Scam" case against former Bihar CM, Lalu Prasad Yadav. Notably, Yadav has been alleged of withdrawing Rs 139.35 crore from Doranda treasury. CBI Special Judge SK Sashi will announce the verdict. For the hearing, Lalu Prasad Yadav reached Ranchi on February 13. Meanwhile, CBI produced 575 witnesses in the case RC 47A/96.
