BCCI Announces Indian Squad For 2022 West Indies Series: Cricket
The BCCI, on January 26, announced 18-member Indian squad for the upcoming West Indies series. The squad for ODI and T20I series will be led by Rohit Sharma as captain, who recently recovered from an injury and has now claimed to be fit. While Rohit Sharma will be the captain, KL Rahul will lead as Vice Captain, in the West Indies series, starting from February 6, till February 20.

BCCI Announces Indian Squad For 2022 ICC Under 19 World Cup
The BCCI announced the Indian cricket squad for the 2022 ICC Under 19 World Cup, on December 19. The team includes Yash Dhull as Captain, SK Rasheed as VC, Aaradhya Yadav, and Dinesh Bana as WKs. The tournament will be held in West Indies between January 14 to February 5. India will be competing against 15 teams in 48 matches. So far, India has won the title four times.

Ending all the speculations about his retirement, popular West Indies cricketer Chris Gayle clarified saying he has no plan to get retirement from international cricket. Gayle added that he wants to play another T20 World Cup. On his gesture of retirement, Gayle said, ''I was just having some fun... with the fans in the stand.'' The 2020 Spirit of Cricket Award has been given to West Indies by the Marylebone Cricket Club on December 4. The award has been given to recognise the courage shown by the team, as they sent both their men’s and women’s teams to tour England during the COVID-19 pandemic.
