AP Cabinet Reshuffle, Final List Awaited On April 10
The official list of the new YSRCP Cabinet ministry of Andhra Pradesh is scheduled to be announced on April 10. As per sources, CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is likely to retain three senior leaders; Botcha Satyanarayana, Buggana Rajendra, and Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy. A total of 24 Cabinet ministers, resigned on April 7, following which a new ministry, based on caste, religion, and experience will take oath on April 11.

AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy Meets PM Modi, Union Ministers In Delhi
Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy met with PM Narendra Modi, FM Nirmala Sitharaman, Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari. Reddy who is on a two-day visit to Delhi, discussed various state-related issues like transport development, the polavaram project, and reorganization of AP issues. Furthermore, the meetings were also discussed the pending funds and approval for AP projects.

Pawan Kalyan Expresses Disappointment Over New Districts: Andhra Pradesh
Taking a dig at the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy led YSRCP Government in Andhra Pradesh, actor-turned politician expressed displeasure over the newly formed districts. Pawan Kalyan lashed out at the AP government for ignoring people's opinion on 13 new districts, taking the tally to 26. Kalyan said, "Why CM Jagan didn’t take the people’s aspirations, issues of distance in the new districts and other constraints into consideration?”

AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy To Announce 13 New Districts Officially On April 4
Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is set to officially announce additional 13 districts in the state, taking the overall tally to 26. The newly formed districts will be launched on April 4, following which the ruling YSRCP Government will announce new team and secretariat to run the additional districts. The CMO said, the launch of the handbook will make it possible for people to engage on this momentous-day.

AP Govt Slashes RT-PCR COVID-19 Test Prices, New Price At Rs 350
Recently, on January 19, the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy led Andhra Pradesh Government slashed RT-PCR test prices. Done to detect COVID-19, the tests will now be done for Rs 350, instead of previous Rs 499 at laboratories and hospitals. The Government asked the concerned authority and district officers to ensure, all labs and hospitals are following the new prices, issued by the state government.

Bus Falls Into Canal, Leaves 9 Dead & 22 Injured In West Godavari: Andhra Pradesh
About nine people were killed and 22 were left injured in a tragic bus accident in West Godavari, Andhra Pradesh. On December 15, an APSRTC bus with 47 passengers, fell into a canal in Jangareddygudem. Reportedly, a "search operation is on to find whether there are any other missing passengers". Meanwhile, AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy announced Rs 5 lakh compensation each, to the families of deceased.

Telangana: Andhra CM Reddy's sister YS Sharmila Launches Her Own Party
YS Sharmila, daughter of the former CM of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh YS Rajasekhara Reddy, has launched her own YSR Telangana Party. During the celebration of the launch party, Sharmila promised to bring "Rajanna Rajyam" to Telangana and hinted to resolve the Krishna water row issue with Andhra Pradesh. Meanwhile, brother YS Jagan who has kept his distance from his sister's political career was unavailable at the event.

Andhra Extends COVID Curfew Till May 31; Orders Financial Aid To Orphans
CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy-led Andhra government on May 17 extended the curfew till May 31 citing the massive surge in COVID-19 cases in the state. CM Jagan said the decision was taken as it takes four week lockdown to break the COVID transmission chain. Moreover, directing the officials to monitor children orphaned due to COVID-19, he asked to prepare an action plan and provide financial assistance to them.

Andhra Police Arrests CM Reddy's Relative In Mining Explosion Case
The Andhra Police on May 11 arrested YS Pratap Reddy, a relative of CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, in the limestone quarry explosion case in Kadapa that had killed 10 labourers. The explosion had taken place when gelatin sticks, an explosive substance meant for mining, was being unloaded from a car. Reportedly, Pratap holds license for the explosives and his name popped up after they were traced back to him.
