Unbeatable RCB Preys Rajasthan Royals By 10 Wicket; Padikkal Scores Ton
Playing its best this IPL, the Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Rajasthan Royals by 10 wickets to register its fifth consecutive win this season. Winning the toss, RCB elected to bowl and the rest was handled by the bowlers who kept on taking wickets at regular interval. While Mohammed Siraj and Harshal Mehta cracked three wickets each for RCB, Shivam Dube’s 46-off-32-ball and Rahul Tewatia’s 40-off-23 helped Rajasthan post at par target of 177/9. Coming to bat, RCB played covering its wickets and achieved the target easily with skipper Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal scoring unbeatable 72(47) and 101(52) runs respectively. The RCB openers went with all guns blazing had achieved the target in the 17th over with 21 balls remaining. Devdutt Padikkal was awarded the Player of the Match for his heroic century.
