Australia Starts 1st Repatriation Flight From India After Travel Ban

In its first repatriation flight, the Australian government repatriated 80 passengers from New Delhi to Darwin, Australia on May 15. Reportedly, the flight was scheduled after a severe backlash against the Australian government for banning travel from India. Mandating two COVID negative reports to board the flight, Australia has provisioned two-week mandatory quarantine upon arrival. The Australian carrier barred 70 people from boarding flight after their close contacts tested positive.
