Bengal Govt To Provide Free Ambulance Service For Road Accident Victims
The West Bengal government has planned to provide free-ambulance service to road accident victims. The service, for which accident prone zones and nearby hospitals are being mapped, will be initiated with at least 150 ambulances. "This will definitely help us in saving the lives of road accident victims," said a health department official on November 30. The official added two types of ambulances will be in the fleet: basic and advanced life-support ambulances.
