Bihar: NDA Regains Majority Winning 125 Seats, Mahagathbandhan Settles At 110
Defying the anti-incumbency against the 15-year rule of Nitish Kumar, the ruling coalition of NDA secured the majority with 125 seats in Bihar Assembly Elections. Whereas the opposition’s Mahagathbandhan got 110 seats in the 243-member assembly. Despite of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) becoming the single largest party with 75 seats, it will fail to form the government. Following RJD, BJP emerged as the second-largest party with 74 seats while JD(U) secured 43 seats.
