BJP Appoints MLA Madan Kaushik As Party's Uttarakhand Unit President
BJP MLA Madan Kaushik has been appointed as the Uttarakhand state party president on March 12. Kaushik will reportedly replace the Kaladhungi BJP MLA Banshidhar Bhagat. Thanking PM Narendra Modi, party President JP Nadda, and Home Minister Amit Shah, Kaushik tweeted "I am committed to forming a BJP led government in Uttarakhand again in 2022." The development came days after ex-CM Trivendra Singh Rawat resigned due to discontent in the party’s Uttarakhand unit.
