BMC Floats Global Tender For 1 Cr Jabs, Bars Border Sharing Nations

Mumbai civic body, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), on May 12 issued a global tender for procurement of COVID-19 vaccines. Interestingly, the issued tender, which aims to procure one crore doses, bars countries that share borders with India from making bids, effectively excluding China from the process. Interested companies can make bids by May 18, while the delivery must be completed within three weeks from the placing of the order.
