Cholera claimed the lives of five people in Amravati, Maharashtra, and 181 more have been infected with the disease. There were two females and three males among the fatalities. Cholera, a water-borne disease, sprang out on July 7. In areas where the disease has impacted, medical teams are working around the clock, and initiatives for prevention and control, such as water quality monitoring, patient surveillance, management, and treatment are ongoing.
