Former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's Assassin, Tetsuya Yamagami, Arrested
Tetsuya Yamagami, a 41-year-old Nara City resident, has been confirmed as the suspect detained for shooting former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on July 8. A gun was recovered by police. The offender did not attempt to flee when the cops were apprehending him. Until roughly 2005, Abe's assailant worked for the Maritime Self Defence Force. Yamagami informed the police that he had hatred toward Abe and wanted to kill him.
