Hindu Mahasabha Opens Library Dedicated To Nathuram Godse's Ideology
In a contentious move to portray Mahatma Gandhi’s assassin Nathuram Godse as a "nationalist", the Hindu Mahasabha on January 10 opened a library for him. Inaugurated on Vishwa Hindi Diwas, the Godse Gyan Shala in Madhya Pradesh's Gwalior contains Nathuram’s speeches/articles, and study on how he planned the assassination. While the Mahasabha’s vice-president Jaiveer Bharadwaj said Godse "stood and died for an undivided India", MP’s protem-speaker Rameshwar Sharma blamed Mahatma Gandhi for India's partition.
