India's 1st Monkeypox Patient Recovers Completely
A Kerala man who was India's first monkeypox case has recovered. On July 14, the 35-year-old Kollam resident was admitted to the hospital with monkeypox symptoms. "All samples were negative twice. The patient is physically and mentally healthy. The skin bumps are completely cured. He will be discharged today," Kerala Health Minister Veena George said. After reporting India's first three monkeypox cases, the Kerala government increased preventative and monitoring efforts.
