Indonesia Bans Foreign Tourist Arrivals At Jakarta Airport As Covid-19 Cases Spike
Amid the surge in COVID cases, Indonesia temporarily banned international tourists from entering the country through Jakarta airport. The decision to bar tourists flying to Jakarta came just days after Bali welcomed the first international flight in nearly two years. However, tourists flying from abroad will still be able to arrive at Bali airport, Batam, and Tanjung Pinang in the Riau Islands. Notably, Indonesia recorded 36,000 fresh covid-19 infections.
