JNU Activist Umar Khalid Arrested in Connection With Northeast Delhi Riots
Delhi Police Special Cell have arrested activist Umar Khalid, a former JNU student, for conspiring in connection with northeast Delhi riots. The Activist had been summoned for interrogation on September 13 after which he was arrested under Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA). According to a chargesheet filed by the Delhi police, Khalid connived with suspended AAP councillor Tahir Hussain to instigate riots during the US President Trump's visit.
