Kerala Detects Another Monkeypox Case; 5th Case In India
Kerala announced its fifth monkeypox case on August 2. According to a statement issued by Kerala Health Minister Veena George, the 30-year-old patient is now receiving treatment in Malappuram and returned from the UAE on July 27. Those who were in contact with him, including his parents, are being carefully monitored. The minister noted that the first patient had been discharged and that the remaining patients' conditions were stable.
