Maharashtra To Cultivate 8300 Ha Land To Maintain Food Chain
As a measure to provide fodder to animals, the Maharashtra government has decided to plant 8300 hectares of land for four years as meadows in the forest land. Interestingly, the occupied area would be equal to the area of Pune City. State Forest Minister Sanjay Rathod has said the initiative is to maintain the food chain in the forests. Besides, he added that the initiative would limit stress on forests.
