Maharashtra Mandates Use Of Face Masks Due To Rising Cases
In response to an upsurge in the number of cases of Covid, Maharashtra's government has enforced the usage of face masks in all public areas excluding open spaces. "Mask in closed public spaces like trains, buses, cinemas, auditoriums, offices, hospitals, colleges, schools is a must," stated Deputy Chief Secretary Dr. Pradeep Vyas. In the preceding week, the number of coronavirus infections in the state skyrocketed, reaching 1,081 on June 1.
