PETA Writes To Union Govt, Urges To Crackdown Illegal Dogfights In India
PETA India wrote to the Union government, urging to crack down illegal dogfights and illegal pet shops, running in India. In the letter, dated September 13, PETA made the appeal to Animal Husbandry Minister Parshottam Rupala, and Animal Welfare Board of India chair OP Chaudhary. Notably, the organisation also released footage provided by the Fauna Police, showing lethal injuries that animals sustain in the alleged dogfights and making breeding illegal.
