Surge Witnessed In Travel Bookings For Long Weekend Trips

Going by the reports, travel portals have witnessed a 40% surge in bookings for the long weekend. Speaking about the travel preferences, Yatra.com founder Sabina Chopra said that travellers preferred short haul destinations. Reportedly, Yatra.com had received a 32% increase in accommodation's inquiries for the October 2-4 weekend. The Goibibo's COO said that drivable destinations or places under 400kms were preferred by 70% of the tourists.
