Thai Protesters Come Down To Roads Despite COVID-19 Alerts
On the 89th anniversary of the Siamese Revolution, hundreds of people participated in the pro-democracy rallies in Bangkok despite the government warning against COVID-19. With the daily case toll being nearly 3,000, the government has clamped down on public gatherings due to the third wave of COVID-19 infections. The 89th Siamese Revolution is an uprising that made Thailand a constitutional monarchy from an absolute monarchy. Protestors carried signboards that read, “abolish 112.”
