Tobacco Products To Have New Textual Warnings From December 1, 2022

Tobacco products manufactured, imported, or packaged on or after December 1, 2022, will have a new display warning. As per the Union Health Ministry, a new image will have a textual warning, "Tobacco causes a painful death.” The new image will be valid for one year period, following which, the new image will have new warnings, "Tobacco causes younger death". The new amendments came under Tobacco Products (Packaging-and-Labelling) Rules, 2008.
