Turkish Consulate In Iraq Attacked; No Causalities Reported
Turkey's Consulate in Iraq was attacked on July 27, however no casualties were reported. The Turkish Foreign Ministry condemned the attack, and said that those responsible should be punished. The Ministry also requested the Iraqi officials to "fulfil their responsibilities in protecting diplomatic and consular missions", reported AlJazeera. Turkey also pointed out, this attack was carried out during the UN Security Council meeting organised at the request of Iraqi authorities.
