Twitter Deletes 130 Accounts For Misinforming People Over US Prez Elections
Twitter has deleted 130 accounts alleged of misinforming people and affecting public-discourse during the first US Presidential Debate. The handles were reportedly being operated through Iran, said Twitter. The decision surfaced as US' intelligence reports of Russia snooping in 2016 elections have pressurized social media platforms. Reportedly, last week, Twitter and Facebook removed 350 accounts allegedly being used by Russian intelligence services to intervene in the 2020 US Presidential elections.
