US Treasury Hit By Cyberattacks; Experts Suspect Russia-backed Hackers
The US' Treasury and Commerce departments, besides other government agencies, have lately suffered cyberattacks, for which experts suspect Russia-backed hackers as responsible. Reportedly, the hackers embedded malware in the servers, making all the data stored there completely visible. "We have asked CISA and the FBI to investigate," said a spokesperson of the Commerce department. Just a few days ago, cybersecurity firm FireEye had also suffered a cyber-breach.
