WHO Plans to Deliver 120 Million Rapid Virus Tests to 133 Poorer Countries
World Health Organisation, on September 28, announced its plan to procure 120 million rapid tests for COVID-19, to distribute across 133 poorer countries. The tests which are estimated to cost $5 each are not as efficient as PCR tests but will be cost and time effective. WHO plans to distribute it to low and middle-income countries and opined that this will enable to close the gap in testing between them and high-income countries.
