WHO Says Rush To Hospital, Gatherings Worsening COVID Situation In India
The WHO spokesperson Tarik Jasarevic said that less than 15% of COVID-19 infected people in India need admission to the hospital and even a few require oxygen support. Tarik said, one of the reasons for increasing COVID-19 cases in India is 'many people rush to the hospital, even though home-based care monitoring at home can be managed very safely’. He also suggested community-level centres to screen and advice home care.
