India Registers Over 800 Cases Of Coronavirus
In India, the daily Covid-19 cases are rising again, with over 800 new cases. On March 18, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) confirmed that India registered highest number of cases in over four months. The nation reported, With 841 fresh infections, the active caseload has now climbed to 5,389. This is the first time in the past four months, that nation registered a high number of Coronavirus cases.

Maharashtra Records Rise In Covid-19 Cases With 226 Cases
After days, Maharashtra reported the highest number of Covid-19 cases, on March 17. According to sources, Maharashtra logged 226 Covid-19 cases, from the previous 176 a day earlier. Wearing Face Mask Has Little Or No Difference In Covid Prevention, Reveals Study
A recent study revealed that wearing a face mask has little or no difference in the curb of COVID-19 spread. Recently, a review led by 12 researchers from esteemed universities around the world has said that masking up may have done little to nothing to stop the transmission of COVID-19. Cochrane Library published the research quoting, "Wearing masks in the community probably makes little or no difference."

GoI Imposes New COVID-19 Rules From Today
Amid a decline in COVID-19 cases worldwide, the Government of India (GoI,) issued new guidelines for those travelling to India from abroad. As per the new rules, signing 'Air Suvidha' form and mandate of pre-departure COVID-19 test is not required for those travelling from six countries. However, the random 2% testing of international passengers and arrivals from foreign countries will be same, in effect from February 13, 11 AM.

Japan To Reopen Visa-Free Travel, Ending Some Of World’s Strictest COVID-19 Border Controls
Japan has announced to reopen visa-free travel for tourists in to the country, as COVID-19 recedes in the country. This marks some of world’s toughest border control being lifted. Visitors will now be welcomed to Japan after two years of pandemic isolation. With this, the tourism industry is expected to boom in the coming months. Just over half a million visited Japan in 2022, compared to 31.8 million in 2019.

India Reports 2,424 New COVID Cases, 15 Deaths In Last 24 Hours: COVID Update
India reported 2,424 new cases of COVID-19 and 15 fatalities in the last 24 hours, on October 10. Of the total fatalities, 12 were reported from Kerala. A recovery rate of 98.75% has been recorded in the country, taking the total active caseload to 28,079. Kerala has the highest number of total active cases with 5,559, followed by Tamil Nadu with 4,707 and Karnataka with 2,662.
