Ambulance Collides With Truck In UP, Leaves 7 Dead On Spot
In a tragic incident, seven people were killed as an Ambulance collided with a truck, in UP's Fatehganj Paschim, on May 31. The driver, suspected to have dozed off, lost control and rammed into a divider, which resulted in the Ambulance coming onto the other side of the road and hitting the truck. Kurshid (55) was taking his wife Sagiran (52) for treatment in the ambulance, when the tragedy occurred.

Lalu Prasad Yadav Discharged At 3 AM From AIIMS, RJD Smells Conspiracy
Fodder scam accused and RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav has been admitted to AIIMS Delhi from RIMS, in Ranchi, amid worsening health conditions. However, the AIIMS discharged Prasad at 3 am, on March 24, stating him fit. The RJD leaders questioned the timing of the discharged and said, " Our leader was unwell so he was taken to AIIMS. The hospital discharged him under pressure. It is a political conspiracy".

Lalu Prasad Yadav Admitted To AIIMS Amid Health Conditions
Following a major health issue, former Bihar CM Lalu Prasad Yadav has been shifted to AIIMS Delhi. Notably, he was being treated at RIMS in Jharkhand, but due to kidney and heart related issues, Yadav's health condition worsened, and he was referred to AIIMS in Delhi. Notably, Lalu Prasad Yadav has been sentenced to five years of imprisonment and Rs 60 lakh fine in a money laundering case.

AIIMS Cancels Doctors' Winter Vacation Amid COVID-19 Surge
In a notice on January 4, the All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) cancelled winter vacation of doctors. The decision was taken amid the rising number of COVID-19 and its variant Omicron cases in India. "It is to inform that the Competent Authority has decided to cancel the remaining part of the winter vacation from 5th to 10th January due to ongoing COVID-19 and Omicron pandemic," read the notice.

PM Modi Inaugurates AIIMS Gorakhpur; Costed Over 1,000 Crore
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the AIIMS hospital in UP's Gorakhpur on December 7. It features a 300-bed service, 14 general OPDs and 13 special OPDs, a 35-bed emergency ward, and other world-class medical facilities. The bed service will soon be increased to 750, reported UNI. Reportedly, it took 5 years to build, costing up to Rs 1,011 crore. Besides, it's also equipped with two oxygen plants.

Lalu Prasad Yadav Gets Admitted To AIIMS Delhi
Lalu Prasad Yadav, chief of Rashtriya Janata Dal, was rushed to the All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) in New Delhi after complaining of fever on November 27. His condition is said to be stable, reported Zee News. Notably, Yadav was getting treatment at Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences for two years in Jharkhand's Ranchi but was shifted to Delhi AIIMS in January.

Third Wave Unlikely; COVID-19 To Become Endemic: AIIMS Chief
AIIMS New Delhi Chief Randeep Guleria on November 23 said India isn't expected to see the third wave of COVID-19. He added that we should continue administering vaccines to more and more people and ''as of now we really don't need a booster dose''. Furthermore, Dr. Guleria said COVID-19 would become endemic like swine flu (N1N1). It'll affect only those who have weak immunity and are vulnerable to diseases.

Time Table Released For AIIMS First MBBS Exam 2021
The time table for the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) first MBBS Exam 2021 has been released. The candidates can register themselves for the theory exams between October 11 to October 20. The three-hour exam will be conducted in New Delhi. The exams will start on October 21 to continue till October 29 and the practical exam will begin on October 30 and will end on November 8.

Bihar Witnesses Rare Disease 'Stevens-Johnson Syndrome'
At Bihar's Patna, a rare disease 'Stevens-Johnson Syndrome' has been diagnosed. Dr. Sanjay Jaiswal, a BJP Chief has been suffering from the same disease which causes skin rashes, blisters, and then peel, followed by a fever. “The disease is an outcome of a medicine reaction. Dr. Jaiswal, who was admitted on August 30... is likely to be discharged tomorrow evening,” said Dr. CM Singh, AIIMS-Patna.
