The Calcutta High Court ordered the West Bengal Police to hand over the Ram Navami Clash case to the National Investigation Agency (NIA.) On April 27, the HC reviewed a plea filed by West Bengal BJP leader Suvendhu Adhikari, who wanted an NIA probe into the Ram Navami clash, which occurred in the Hooghly region. The division bench ordered the State Police to hand over the case details to NIA.

Veteran Bollywood actress and MP Hema Malini ditched her car and took an auto-rickshaw ride along with metros, to avoid Mumbai traffic. The actress documented the entire evening when she used public transport, instead of her car.  Looking at her social media posts, Malini likely had a great experience and a joyful evening. She said, it took her 2 hours between Juhu-Dahisar, but 1/2 hour while returning via metro.

Former Janata Dal (United) Rajya Sabha MP Ghulam Rasool Balyawi created controversy, over his remark on hiring in the Indian Army. On February 13, Ghulam addressed a public event and said, "if there is any fear of fighting terrorists from Pakistan, appoint 30% Muslims in the Indian Army to deal with them." The BJP criticised Ghulam for his statement and said, this is an attempt to gain Muslim votes.

Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami has announced Rs 25 lakh financial aid to the family of Ankita Bhandari, 19-year-old receptionist, murdered in Rishikesh. On September 28, Dhami-led BJP government said, "The state government is with Ankita's family. We will extend all help to them. The case is being probed by an SIT (Special Investigation Team). A missing Bharatiya Janata Party politician was discovered hanging from a tree in Kathua, Jammu & Kashmir's Hiranagar Town on August 23. A Special Investigation Team has been established to look into the precise cause of the death, though. The blood-stained body was sent to a Sub District Hospital in Hiranagar for an autopsy. According to sources, Raj went missing on August 22 and was mysteriously discovered on August 23.
