India Issues Advisory To Indian Students Aspiring To Study In China
The Indian government has issued advisory to those Indian students aspiring to study in Chinese medical schools, as thousands of enrolled students are continued to be stuck at home due to COVID-19. The Chinese visa ban has affected over 23,000 Indian students. So far, the Indian embassy in China has been receiving several queries regarding the admission. Reportedly, only 6,387 students have cleared FMG Examination, out of 40,417 students.

Earthquake Of 6.8 Magnitude Jolts China’s Sichuan; 65 Dead, 16 Missing
In China’s Sichuan province, an earthquake of 6.8 magnitude on the Richter scale hit the mountainous area in Luding county, on September 6. The earthquake set off landslides and shook buildings, killing as many as 65 people and leaving hundreds injured. Moreover, at least 16 people are missing. The earthquake shook buildings in the capital city of Chengdu, which is currently under a COVID-19 lockdown.

China’s Chengdu Under Lockdown After Reporting 157 New COVID Cases
China’s Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan province, has been put under a lockdown after it reported 157 fresh cases of COVID-19. The city is home to 21 million residents, and officials have announced a four-day nucleic testing to contain the spread of the virus. Residents have reportedly been asked not to leave their homes after 6 pm on September 1, until further notice.

China Despatches 2 Military Cargo Aircrafts To Provide Aid To Flood-Hit Pakistan
Coming to Pakistan’s aid amid the grim flood situation across the country, China has despatched two large military cargo aircrafts to deliver supplies. China Condemns Indo-US Military Drill Near LAC, Calls It Violation Of Bilateral Agreement
India is expected to carry out joint military exercises with US troops in October. The drill is expected to be carried out in Uttarakhand’s Auli, which is situated around 100 kms from the LAC. China stated that the drill will be a direct violation of India-China bilateral agreement, which prohibits carrying out military drills near LAC. “We oppose any third party to meddle in the China-India border issue,” said China.

An ex-Apple worker admitted to stealing records pertaining to the company's much-awaited self-driving vehicle. Taiwan Looks Forward To Welcoming Japanese Politicians
Taiwanese officials welcomed the upcoming visit of Japanese politicians to the self-governing island nation, amid rising tensions between China and Taiwan. Furuya Keiji, chairman of Japan ROC Diet Members’ Consultative Council and Secretary General Kihara Monuru are scheduled to visit Taiwan between August 22-24. 21 Chinese Warplanes, 5 Warships Tracked Around Taiwan
Taiwan has reported that 21 Chinese warplanes and five warships have been tracked around the territory of Taiwan, with eight jets crossing Taiwan Strait Median line. Taiwan has asked its Combat Air Patrol (CAP), navy ships and air defence missile systems to monitor China’s military actions and respond. On the previous day, as many as 51 Chinese warplanes breached the territory boundaries.

‘National Drought’ Declared In China Amid Rising Heatwave
China issued its first ‘National Drought’ alert on August 19. This has come after 66 rivers dried up in the country’s southwest. Besides, heatwave induced mainly by forest fires poses a huge threat to the crops. To counter the current crisis situation, China has announced financial aid, cloud seeding and shutting down of certain energy-intensive industries.
