Clashes

Clashes erupted in Jharkhand's Jamshedpur after 'desecration' of a religious flag led to brick batting and arson between two groups, confirmed local sources. To control the situation, a prohibitory orders under Section 144 of CrPC are in force at Shastrinagar in Jharkhand’s Jamshedpur after shops and vehicles were set on fire during the clashes. Internet services have also been suspended, confirmed ANI sources.

Three cops have been transferred following clashes in Patiala. Violence had broken out near the Kali Mata temple in Patiala earlier on 29th April, after an anti-Khalistan march was taken out in the area. As the situation escalated, four were left injured. A curfew had been imposed in the city in the aftermath of the clashes towards the evening, which has since been lifted.

UP CM Yogi Adityanath shared a video on Twitter, expressing happiness over the fact that there were no riots, clashes or violence reports in the State on Ram Navami.  Taking to Twitter on April 12, Yogi said, "This is proof of UP's new progressive way of thinking. Here, there is no place for riots and chaos". The statement was amid reports of clashes on Ram Navami in several states.

Maha Vikas Aghadi partners - Shiv Sena and NCP - fought each other over a banner of Sena candidate displayed at the Bhiwandi office. Being at the loggerheads over the Bhiwandi local body seat, the NCP’s Ganesh Gulvi and Sena’s Praveen Gulvi and their aides attacked each other. Reportedly, the Bhiwandi Election Commission has called for investigations after registering a case on NCP district president’s complaint.

Amid growing tensions between them, Taliban and Afghan government on September 13 are set to discuss "peace" in the region. The opening ceremony that took place in Doha hinted for a truce as Afghan government called for ceasefire. However, Taliban did not indicated any signs of ceasefire negotiations. Earlier on September 12, fresh clashes had broken out between the Afghan and Taliban forces that killed six Taliban fighters.
