Mixing & Matching Of Covid Vaccine Is A 'Dangerous Trend': WHO
Chief scientist of the World Health Organization Dr Soumya Swaminathan warned against mixing of covid-19 vaccines from different manufactures as it is a "dangerous trend". Little or no data is available regarding the health impact caused by the mixing of vaccines. In a virtual briefing, she stated that chaos will happen "if citizens start deciding when and who will be taking a second, a third, and a fourth dose".

As the residents of Philippines have been defying to get vaccinated, the president, Rodrigo Duterte has used very strong words to get them agree. Duterte said, ''If you don't want to get vaccinated, I'll have you arrested and I'll inject the vaccine in your butt.'' However, the country has no law which criminalises refusal to get vaccinated. Swiggy Confirms To Run Vaccination Drive For Its Driver Partners
As a proactive step, food delivery App Swiggy on May 20 has started the vaccination drive for its driver partners in-order to fight against Covid19. However, the decision comes days after the company decided to vaccinate over 2,00,000 delivery partners. Govt Orders To Set Up Camps At Airports To Jab Aviation Personnel
The Centre on May 6 issued guidelines for the rapid vaccination of aviation personnel. The order sought to create vaccination camps at airports to jab aviation staff prioritizing Air Traffic Controllers (ATC), cockpit, cabin crew and passenger-facing staff. Facebook Partners With Govt To Launch In-app Vaccine Finder Tool
Social media giant Facebook has launched an in-app vaccine centre finding tool in a collaborative effort with the Indian government. The tool, using the information provided by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, will enable people to look for vaccination centres and their operating hours. The vaccine tracker tool will provide support in 17 languages and will also guide home-isolated patients in managing COVID-19 mild symptoms.
