'No Two Wheeler Taxis On Streets Of Delhi As Of Now,' Says Top Court
In a major setback for Rapidos and Uber moto Taxis, the Supreme Court said, "You can't run on streets as of now". In a hearing the Top Court said until the Delhi Government frames a policy for two-wheeler bikes, moto-taxis can't be on the streets. Meanwhile, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) led Delhi Government said they will frame a policy for two-wheeler taxis by June 30.

Woman Teachers Alleges Sexual Harassment Against Vice Principal
The Directorate of Education, Delhi has initiated disciplinary proceedings against a vice principal of a city government school over complaints of sexual harassment by some women teachers. This comes after the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) received several complaints of sexual and mental harassment against the vice principal (VP) of the school. The DCW with Delhi Police registered a case and launched an investigation into the matter.

Wanted Khalistani Leader Amritpal Singh Seen In Delhi Roads
After days, Sikh preacher and Khalistani leader Amritpal Singh has been spotted in CCTV footage in Delhi, confirmed sources. Amritpal Singh is seen without his turban in the footage, in an apparent attempt at disguise to evade the police, who is searching for Khalistani leader. He wore sunglasses and a denim jacket. India's Himalayan neighbour Nepal has already put Amritpal Singh on its surveillance list.

IPS Officer Madhur Verma Appointed As ACB Head
Senior IPS officer of 2005 Batch Madhur Verma is the new head of the anti-corruption branch (ACB), confirmed officials on August 9. Prior to ACB Head, IPS Verma was an additional commissioner in the Delhi police’s armed department and succeeded Sunil Kumar Gautam. He also worked as the DCP of the crime branch in New Delhi's north district and was public relations officer of the Delhi Police till 2019.

Delhi Liquor Shops Remain Close Despite Extension Of Excise License
Even after a nod from the AAP-led Delhi Government regarding the extension of liquor shop licenses till August 31, the shops, which has license approval till July 31, will remain close. Approximately 468 private liquor stores in Delhi closed shops starting on August 1, amid license expiry and will remain shut until the Lieutenant Governor of (LG) Delhi Vinai Kumar Saxena's approval.

Free Precautionary COVID-19 Doses For Eligible People: Delhi Govt
Delhi Government led by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) announced a free COVID-19 booster dose for people between the age group of 18-year-old to 59-year-old. On April 21, Arvind Kejriwal announced that all the eligible people will get free precautionary doses at government-run vaccination centers.
