Punjab CM Mann To Visit Delhi Schools, Mohalla Clinics

Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann is scheduled to visit Delhi, on April 18. During the visit, Aam Aadmi Party leader Mann will view Delhi schools and Mohalla clinics. The announcement of Mann's visit came after Arvind Kejriwal said, his AAP has worked for the enhancement of the education sector in Delhi, that people across India visit to see the same. He highlighted, that recently TN CM MK Stalin also visited Delhi for the same.

Schools To Be Closed till Further Notice Amid Air Pollution: Delhi Govt

Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai on December 2 announced the closure of schools and educational institutions in the National Capital from December 3. The decision was taken in view of the rising air pollution and worsening AQI of Delhi. Reportedly, except for ongoing CBSE exams, all classes would be suspended until further notice. Notably, on November 29, schools reopened after a gap of two weeks in Delhi.

Schools To Remain Shut In The View Of Rising Air Pollution; Delhi Government

Delhi government on November 21 ordered all schools to shut for physical classes until further notice. According to reports, the decision has been made in view of rising air pollution levels in the national capital. Moreover, govt. office employees have been instructed to work from home with 100 percent capacity for a week. Classes to remain conducted online until notice, said Directorate of education, Delhi.

Delhi's Private School Can't Allow 'Unvaxxed' Teachers, Says DoE

In the latest circular, the directorate of education (DoE) has issued an order for all private schools to not allow any teachers and school staff to come to the school if they aren't fully vaccinated. The circular also prescribed the deadline for vaccination that is October 15, after that teachers' ''absence may be treated as on leave''. Notably, the same rule is also mandatory in government schools.

Around 3 Lakh Students In Delhi Shifted To Govt Schools, Colleges

CM Arvind Kejriwal recently took to Twitter to announce that government schools of Delhi are receiving overwhelming application requests for admissions. According to the reports of DoE, around 18 lakh students have enrolled for admissions this while in 2020-21 it was 17 lakh, and in 2019-20, only 15 lakh applicants had applied. However, it is expected that the sudden shift is perceived due to the economic crisis caused by the pandemic.

Physical PTMs To Be Held In Delhi Govt Schools From July 19-31

Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia announced on June 30 that Delhi government schools will hold physical PTMs from July 19 to 31, irrespective of classes to discuss students’ progress. Besides, special PTMs will be held for students in Class 6 who got shifted from municipal to government schools this year. The meetings will be conducted for over two weeks in order to avoid over-crowding.
